OK, so it's safe to say that because there isn't an individual copyright entry for "One Million B.C."(1940), I can upload it?

I am really not sure with this one. All of the lists that it appears on are lists related to Hallmark Entertainemnt who are the current US holders of copyright in the Hal Roach Studios catlogue. It is on a list of Hal Roach Studio's "Colorization Inc" movies mostly other studio's PD stuff but they also did their own films (Laurel and Hardy, Our Gang, etc). It's also on two distribution deals one with Odyssey Distribution and another with RHI Entertainment which is a Hallmark parent company (Robert Halmi Inc).

I would figure that it is most probably in copyright. I think like a video distributor and this picture has Victor Mature, Carole Landis, Lon Chaney Jr, lizards playing dinosaurs, a father-son directing team, money from D W Griffith and there's always that percentage of people who'll think their buying that movie with Raquel Welch. If it was public domain at least one, if not all, DVD labels would have it on name recognition value alone.

OK, then I'd better not risk trouble for myself and the IA.
I have plenty of rare and obscure PD titles that I can upload instead.
